Clackmannanshire is set to see a few events on our roads over the next couple of months.

Alloa Half Marathon - Sunday 18th March

Starts 9am. There will be various road closures and parking restrictions in place to make the event safer for participants and road users.

Road closures are as follows. These closures will be lifted as soon as possible.

  • 7am – 2pm Parkway, Alloa
  • 9am - 11am A908 northbound through Sauchie
  • 9am – 12pm A908 Fishcross to Devonside (new)

Stirling Duathlon - Sunday 25th March

This event has been awarded a Scottish Championship Event by Triathlon Scotland and a European Championship Qualifier by British Triathlon Federation.

As such this means there will be some traffic management in place at certain locations to help provide a smooth ride for the cyclists taking part.

The route leaves from Stirling University main entrance and comes into Clackmannanshire along A907, B9140, A908, A91, B998.

Several traffic signals and zebra crossing will be turned off along the route so please taking care when crossing at these locations.  Marshals will be in place to advised and assist where necessary.

Stirling Marathon/Half Marathon - Sunday, 29th April

This event will have a significant impact on Clackmannanshire residents due to various road closures that effectively close down access to the west towards Stirling.

Part of the half marathon and marathon route comes north up the A91 from Major Powis roundabout then along the A91 to Gogar Loan where the race heads south to Blackgrange roundabout then west along the A907 to re-join the A91 southwards.  This section is closed from 9am until approximately 4pm.

Access out of Clackmannanshire will be via the Clackmannanshire and Kincardine Bridges or north via A823 Glendevon.
